Ahmed Javad (aka Javad) co-founded Valentia Technologies in 2004.

Javad qualified as a medical doctor (MBBS) in Pakistan in 1990. From 1990 to 1995, he specialised as a neonatal specialist in Riyadh Military Hospital in Saudi Arabia. From 1995 to 1997 he practiced medicine in various locum capacities in the North Western Health Board area in Ireland.

Javad has worked full time in health informatics since 1998. From 1998 to 1999 he completed an MSc programme in Health Informatics at Trinity College Dublin. From 1999 to 2004 he worked with various healthcare organisations in Ireland, including Blackrock Clinic, VHI, Institute of Public Health, Mental Health Association of Ireland, Irish Nurses Organisation, Irish Medical Organisation, Irish Medical Journal, An Bord Altranais and the Health Research Board.
